    Default Abandoned Detroit

Now I know that another Detroityes member gave us a spectacular tour of the National Theater Ruins, as well as other places, but some of us like to remain more on the down-low. I do not have any webisodes, websites, books, or anything for that fact pertaining to abandoned Detroit. I have been just about everywhere the city has to offer, and have the pictures to prove the adventures. I simply just don't post them much becuase the city has been on an abandoned building lock-down all year. In large part this is due to all of the exploitation of the abandoned buildings. I would rather try to keep the buildings open for all explorers/photographers to go into, but unfortanately other people come into the buildings as well. They come in a destroy the beautiful details, architecture, and furnishigns in the buildings. It is just so sad . So for personal reasons and persoanl choice, I choose to not post many of my pics, but I have and will post some from time to time. This is the National Theater. A definite sign of a crippled city that was once all-so elegant. Enjoy..

Well why not instead of driving around and showing off your blight as ruin porn, costing our city more embarassment than it needs, why don't you use that same energy to fix up these buildings so they can serve a purpose and make our city two buildings less blighted?

Hmm, some people here are very quick to make assumptions.

What make you assume that I'm not [[at least that was the original plan).

Judging from your cute little video, that doesn't seem the case [[as you also admitted in the part of your post I just bolded).

It's like a tenant of an apartment showing off their nasty room to potential renters as something to be proud of.

Once again, you act like you are an expert in other peoples affairs.

We all go through financial up's and downs.

What have you done for the city or even your country recently? nothing?

    See what I mean.

I live here, spend my money at Detroit businesses and pay my taxes despite crap services and amenities [[and arguably all of this without representation at the city, state or national level).

But the last thing the people in this city need is people putting more ashes on an open wound and insulting the hard working residents of this city [[and none of this happened thorugh no fault of our own, we were left behind to support a city of 2 million people) by showing off more blight that YOU own and you're not even trying to clean up.
