From just a political viewpoint, I would say yes. But from a religious viewpoint, I think even more so.

It's not the "Radical Right" who has increased troop numbers and entrenched them in Afghanistan in bloody fighting right now, and it's not the "Radical Right" who is moving warships to the Libyan coast right now.

The radical right and the neocons have created the climate of fear and reactionist policies. They have been responsible for theshaping of our concious and our fears. The radical right and their partners shaped our foriegn policies and have partners in the extremes of middle-eastern countries... they promote a with us or against us mentality and have demonized those who would stand in their way. They partner with the far right in Israel and other allies and refuse to negoiate with countries that view us in alternative ways [[SYria etc)/.. They push democrats into position that they have to support them or are weak in defence of our country..The radical right has influence in our papers and talks shows,, with us or against us..America right not wrong.. it's been very effective in painting the agenda.

Radical right & neocons are responsible........they create........., they partner......., they shape........, they push Democrats around, yadda, yadda, yadda.......
How can that be when the radical left and progressives have been in control of both houses of Congress for the past four calendar years and in control of the executive branch for the past two years? Don't you guys ever accept responsibility for anything? Don't you realize how disconnected from reality that kind of whining appears?

For some odd reason, I don't think there will ever be another world war. There obviously will be wars, as there are wars now, and probably always will be wars as long as humans exist. I just don't think there will be another global war. Don't know why, I just doubt it...

Look up how the Senate actually works...if you don't have a super majority [[which the Dems did not have no matter how many people try to say it) it's still difficult to get things through. There are even ways to delay when someone has a super majority. It's pretty bizarre the way it works.

But I don't think they were talking about government action...although laws outlawing Sharia law in Oklahoma can make people angry...but more of a media outlet. I don't recall Dems saying that Muslims were trying to take over the country by building mosques everywhere. It's not just government action that can cause a climate of hate and fear. All you need is a podium, and that message spreads.

Besides, if the Dems didn't do anything the last time they were in...wouldn't that align them more closely with the right, and make everyone screaming that Obama is a socialist sound like a moron?

I wish with all my heart I could agree with C-p, but, alas, I can't. To make my heart even darker, I believe by the end of this century some tyrant will detonate a nuclear device in a major city and kill millions. May or may not be in the U.S.

    Sorry, just my gut reaction.

Oh, I absolutely agree with you on that last part. That's still not a world war. There will always be war, I just doubt we'll see one league of nations battling another league of nations again.

God believes it, and even foretold where Armeggedon would take place. Read the book of Revelation. It's all in there, and it ain't no bull.

Because we no longer have imperialism in the raw form it was during World War II. Those wars were about the up and coming imperialists Germany and Japan getting late to the game and trying to take territory from the more established imperialists in Europe and America. There were no more "new world" lands to develop or conquer [[depending on whether your society bought into Locke theory) so there had to be a battle over who owned the lands inhabited by the "savages". One group of ethnocentric racists fighting another over who would dominate the "weak" nations like China and Libya. If Americans and Europeans didn't own their territories in asia, africa, and the middle east, it would have been a european war, maybe, at worst. Japan was small and Germany lacked natural resources so they needed empires of their own to rule the world as their societies felt their "superior intelligence" enitled them to. Same as the United States, Britian, and France.

Revelations is written by a prisoner living in a cave having visions with ambigious symbolism and no time frame. What does the bible say Jesus said or Moses or the other prophets were told?

Its been claimed the time of revelation is "now" has been a consistent claim since the book was written in around 60 A.D. If its upon us, who is the false prophet?
