Default Why We Must Declassify Soleimani Intelligence Now

The Intelligence Donald Trump used to justify striking Iranian General Soleimani must be declassified right now!

The entire crisis in the Middle East that seems to be resolving itself right now started when Donald Trump ordered the assassination of the number three official in the Iranian government. He has no legal authority to do that, under the Constitution and under US law, unless he can prove that he did so to stop a far more destructive and imminent attack against Americans or American interests. It’s why initially Mike Pompeo said that we attacked General Soleimani because of an eminent attack. But now, it turns out, a few members of Congress have seen the intelligence and are calling for it to be completely declassified. Representative Seth Moulton this morning on CNN said Americans deserve to see what was – and what was not – in the intelligence that Trump used. It sounds like Trump had no justification whatsoever, but did this attack on Soleimani to derail discussion about impeachment. If that’s the case, it should be an entirely new article of impeachment itself. If Trump took the world to the edge of war just to help himself avoid impeachment, there must be rapid and immediate consequences.

Default Rep. Pocan Shocked By Trump Strike Against Soliemani

After Trump's strike against Soliemani, many are left with questions including Rep. Mark Pocan who reacts to proactive escalation with Iran with shock and confusion.

Many more questions remain, including what was the justification Trump used, why the classified report members of Congress got to see [was] so short.

Default The Hidden History Of The War On Voting

The Republican War on Voting is raging on and Thom Hartmann reveals how it could stop you from voting in 2020.

    From the publisher:

America's #1 progressive radio host looks at how elites have long tried to disenfranchise citizens--particularly people of color, women, and the poor--and shows what we can do to ensure everyone has a voice in this democracy.

In today's America, only a slim majority of people register to vote, and a large percentage of registered voters don't bother to show up: Donald Trump was elected by only 26 percent of eligible voters. Unfortunately, this is not a bug in our system, it's a feature. Thom Hartmann unveils the strategies and tactics that conservative elites in this country have used, from the foundation of the Electoral College to the latest voter ID laws, to protect their interests by preventing "the wrong people"--such as the poor, women, and people of color--from voting while making it more convenient for the wealthy and white. But he also lays out a wide variety of simple, commonsense ways that we the people can fight back and reclaim our right to rule through the ballot box.

Default Trump Is A Giant Boost To Imperialism (w/ Katrina vanden Heuvel)

Katrina vanden Heuval writes "2010's were a decade of imperial outreach, and now Trump is making it worse.

Default Congress Moves To Revoke Trump's Military Authorization

Donald Trump brought the world to the brink of war. Now congressional Democrats are working to revoke the Authorization for Use of Military Force. Rep. Mark Pocan, Co-Chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus joins Thom to update us.

What will happen to Trump if he loses the ability to start wars without Congressional approval? Could this push Donald into and early lameduck status or would Trump and the Senate fight this to make money from weapons contractors?

Default Can Minimum Wage Increases Prevent Economic Recession? (w/ Richard Wolff)

Richard Wolff answers our questions about the effect of minimum wage increases on the economy.

Seven million people in more than 20 states just received a substantial raise last week because those states raised their minimum wage. Traditionally stimulus like this from the bottom has been very effective at lifting an economy. To what extent is the lifting of the minimum wage going to be responsible for the economy continuing to grow.

Richard Wolff in traditional fashion offers a bleaker view of the economy...

Do you think he is right?

Default Is Donald Trump The Real Terrorizer?

Now Trump is terrorizing America and the world by bringing us to the brink of WWIII, and he is fundraising on it at the same time.

Doug Collins says Democrats love terrorists - when it's Republicans who really do. Bush & Cheny used terrorism to make Cheney rich with no-bid contracts for Halliburton and to enrich their buddies among the defense contractors.

Trump and Pence openly proclaimed a policy of terrorizing refuges by putting their children in cages and the Republicans as a whole have been terrorizing working people since 1981 with their war on the right to unionize, their war on healthcare and their war on social security.

Just like Bush and Cheny he lied about the "imminent threat" to increase his power and make his friends rich.

And why does the Trump Administration refuse to discuss it?

Default Did Trump Strike Soleimani So GOP Won't Impeach Him?

Donald Trump apparently told people close to him that the strike on Iranian General Qasem Soleimani was to make sure Republican senators who are judges in his impeachment were satisfied, according to the Wall Street journal.

Will the strike against Soleimani be added to articles of impeachment on the Ukrainian bribery scandal? Can Congress stop Donald Trump in time before he makes another deal with GOP senators? And which senators are responsible?

Will Trump's plan work out and will the GOP let him slide through impeachment after he carried out his end of the bargain?

There's something rotten in the White House.

Default Iran Escalation Changes Trump Supporter's Mind

A Trump supporter is changing sides after Trump's escalation with Iran, will more follow?

Thom talks to a former Trump supporter who voted for Donald to stop "endless wars" only to find Trump starting wars and inflaming tensions around the world.

Will other Trump supporters stop supporting the president for his support of endless wars?

Default How Ro Khanna And Bernie Sanders Almost Stopped Trump (w/ Ro Khanna)

Bernie Sanders and Ro Khanna almost stopped Trump's escalation with Iran, and they would have too if their amendment to the NDAA wasn't crushed.

Congressman Ro Khanna joins the Thom Hartmann Program to discuss the near victory against warmongers that was cut short when an amendment drafted by himself and Bernie Sanders was cut from the NDAA, greenlighting Trump's strike against Iranian General Soleimani.

Default Has Reaganomics Turned America Into A "Sh*thole" Country?

Poverty in the United States is so widespread & severe, over 40 million Americans are living below the poverty level and many without basic sanitation or enough food. Does this make America a sh*thole country?

Will malnutrition, poverty, destitution become common place in America?

Newsweek is reporting that the United Nations investigation of developed countries around the world finds that poverty in the United States is now so widespread and severe, with over 40 million Americans below the poverty level and many of them living without basic sanitation or enough food and without any access to healthcare, that large parts of America are functionally as bad as or worse than many third world countries.

Republican policies and 40 years of Reaganomics have turned America into a “sh*thole country.” Americans know this, and the vast majority of them think that wages should be increased, healthcare should be expanded, education should be free, and the federal government should undo Reagan and Clinton’s destruction of LBJ‘s safety net.

But the media continues to support Republican candidates and highlight Republican issues like increasing military spending and cheerleading for more tax cuts and wars.

Can the United States become a first world country again or will we be stuck here... at least as long as Republican policies are entrenched in our laws, courts and media?

Default Republicans Starving Healthcare To Stuff Their Wallets

Starve the Best is a Reagan Era Republican Strategy used to shrink the social safety net and now Republicans are trying to starve Healthcare to stuff their wallets.

Years after Ronald Reagan's presidency ended, his strategies and tactics are still being used by Republicans to cut down the social safety net and they are looking at taking down healthcare with Ronald Reagan's Starve the Beast technique.

Can healthcare be saved before Republicans starve it?

Will efforts to expand Medicare and create Universal Healthcare be able to survive efforts by republicans to cut healthcare and other social safety nets?

Default Poverty Keeps Millenials From Middle Class

Millenials are being held back by extreme poverty and having trouble getting into the middle class. What will this do to our country?

A whole generation is being pushed out of the middle class and it could have devasting effects on our country. Years of Reaganomics have added so much debt that Millenials no longer feel like they can get to the middle class.

Default The Internet Is Controlling YOU! (w/ Ramesh Srinivasan)

Has anything changed since 2016 ahead of the 2020 election cycle? We use the internet and social media to keep ourselves up with the news and the world.

If those websites and social media sites promote fake news and lies, how can we trust anything? Algorithms are set to promote political lies with advertising and if you see enough, you will believe them to be the truth.

How is it that corporations like Facebook decide what you and I see and are they trying to control us?

Thom spoke with Ramesh Srinivasan, Professor and Director of UC Digital Cultures Lab – Department of Information Studies and Design.

Default After Spending Trillions On War GOP Is About To Yell About Debt!

Default GOP Mafia: Is Trump The Godfather Of Ukraine Scandal?

A shocking new twist to Donald Trump's Ukraine scandal shows he may have left an American Ambassador in danger.

Robert F. Hyde, a would-be Congress member, and donor to Donald Trump might have put a hit on then US Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch, and the GOP might be a part of it, including Donald Trump.

The jokes about Donald Trump acting like a Mafia Boss are starting to become less like jokes and more like real life. But for some reason, none of this is being investigated.

Aren't we suppose to protect our ambassadors?

Default Trump EPA Approved 100-Plus Products With Pesticides Banned Elsewhere Or Slated ...

1,200 pesticide products have been approved in the past two years, with around 100 with ingredients banned in other countries.

Default Trump Puts US Military For Sale...

Donald Trump is selling the United States military to the highest bidder and this cannot go well.
