Default The Best Seat in Windsor [Pics added]

I am planning to take a group to Windsor to dine and want to do it where we will have the most sensational view of the Detroit skyline, preferably elevated.

Something along the lines of the Park Terrace Restaurant at the Radisson, which I have visited. However it was set back as there is an outside terrace; nice for summer but I am looking for something right up against the windows, no setback.

Advice please from our southside brothers and sisters..

Sadly, there aren't many places like the Park Terrace Restaurant at the Hilton unless you have a Detroit Club membership and used your reciprocal privileges to dine at the Windsor Club, at the top of the CIBC tower.

There's the Bistro at the riverfront, which offers a main floor view of the Detroit skyline [[it's the closest to the river). Papa Cheny's has a view, but it's more of a bar and the side facing riverside is very narrow. Caesar's WIndsor has a bar on the second floor with a really great view and open patio of the Detroit skyline [[the best view imo). There's also a high end main floor restaurant at Caesar's with a view, but there's something about the view that I didn't like. Dean Martini's is a another bar with a view of the skyline from Pitt Street. There's also the Escape Cafe, but it's not in downtown and faces across the river from the MCS.

The Vu bar at ceasars windsor has a nice view of Detroit. I'm not sure if they have good food though.

Vu Bar at Caesar's was what I was referring to. The restaurant was Neros steakhouse.

There's also the Keg Steakhouse across from the Clearly, which slipped my mind. Main floor view of the Detroit skyline. Has a nice patio. It's popular and very busy, but the inside seemed to me like a noisy sportsbar last time I was there.

I enjoy the Keg. It has a nice atmosphere, but yeah it's kinda noisey....not so much that you can't have a conversation though if I remember right. The food is great.
Papa Chene's has a great view, but as mentioned it's more of a bar than anything else, and the window seating area is quite narrow.
I'm not sure if you'd see much from the Bistro being at the such a low level, the view would be blocked by trees along the river. And I don't know......always seemed like a fancy cafeteria to me. I've only been there twice and wasn't really a fan. And to me the interior is blandly modern....to which I'm not a fan.

I havn't been to the Casino, cause I don't like to loose what little cash I have, so I can't vouch for that place lol

IMO...I would thake them to the Keg, Lowell.

Thanks so much for all the suggestions. I have made window seating reservations for the Keg for mum-in-law's bday. But if you have any more I am still listening.

    Followup...

So we took Mum-in-law to the Keg for her birthday this PM. The food was excellent and the view of our window seat was wonderful even if the day was gray. This has to be spectacular after dark. She loved it - bridge over for the view, tunnel back for the full loop. Now for a couple of iPhone snaps.
