COMMUNITY CHORUS OF DETROIT
[[formerly Detroit Waldorf Community Chorus)
METRO-DETROIT’S DYNAMIC INDEPENDENT CHORUS
CALL FOR SINGERS

Do you love to sing? Please join the Community Chorus of Detroit as we celebrate the joy of music with a spring season of magnificent choral music by Handel, Schubert, Brahms, Vaughan Williams, Copland, and Barber, as well as new composers, in a concert program entitled “Serenade to Music.” There will be 12 rehearsals on Sunday afternoons [[with two exceptions on Saturdays) during the spring, beginning in late February and culminating in two concerts on Saturday, May 21 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, May 22 at 4:00 pm, all at the beautiful Detroit Waldorf School in the heart of Detroit’s historic Indian Village neighborhood. Our outstanding conductor and guest artists are from the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance.

We welcome all members of the metro-Detroit community to join the Community Chorus of Detroit, from beginning to advanced musicians, aged 13 to adult. Although the chorus is non-auditioned, basic music reading is required, and many chorus members are experienced singers. Our CCD singers represent 30+ zip codes from Detroit and its suburbs.

Registration deadline is February 25.
