Default Happy 100th Birthday Ronald Reagan and thank you.

For doubling the Federal debt and never submitting a balanced budget.

For growing government during your administration.

    For raising taxes several times.

For negotiating with terrorists by sending 1200 stinger missiles to Iran for release of hostages in Lebanon.

For standing strong against terrorists then fleeing from Lebanon with tail between legs after the Marine barracks bombing.

Would our friends on the right nominate someone else with the same record today?

I will give him one credit. He was a much better actor that I thought he was.

    So happy birthday Ronald Reagan.

In todays world, he would be hated by the republicans and neo conservatives, and feel the wrath of the likes of Hannity, limbo, O'really, and Beck. He would never win a nomination to be POTUS, in todays world.

Thanks Ronnie for trading arms for hostages. Thanks for the cocaine epidemic. Thank you very much for creating Osama Bin Laden and the Taliban. Thanks for the hundreds of thousands of dead Central Americans who were slaughtered in your nasty little secret war.

He was a shitty actor. Bonzo wiped up the screen with him.

Thanks for ignoring the AIDS epidemic here and turning it into a pandemic.

Didn't he also liberate a concentration camp? No, that was just in a movie; he was confused. Was anybody surprised with his Alzheimer's diagnosis?

Doubling the debt, growing the govt, raising taxes, negotiating with terrorists? Seriously? I'm sure you have absolutely no gripe with Obama doing these very same things, and not for the investment in rebuilding our military, or for the benefit of our national security and certainly not to stimulate the greatest economic expansion during peace time in our nation's history with the resulting creation of millions of jobs like Reagan accomplished. How could you possibly have forgotten the double digit inflation, double digit unemployment and double digit mortgage interest rates that were choking the economy and millions of American families under Carter's failed liberal policies. Carter and Obama are the abject failures, with the latter still threatening our nation's way of life.

Oh man, that link is hilarious. No, I'm not surprised that RayGuns was Fred Thompson's personal hero. Not a bit surprised.

Try and focus, 7andkelly. History will judge the Obama presidency and will judge it harshly. Which has nothing to do with the facts about your hero Ronald Reagan, a terrible dreadful president who created no jobs but took them, who threw this country into as serious a recession as it had seen since the Depression [[till W. Bush came into office at least). A man who ignored the Constitution by starting a secret war in Central America. A man who, despite his protestations, bargained with terrorists and trades arms with them. It's the truth, the absolute truth and it's too bad you can't see it.

such a terrible President that he almost had clean sweep of electoral college votes in 1984. You know you are on a left wing whacko website when one of the most popular President's of all time is considered one of the worst. Do you guys actually think you are in the middle? or do you realize you are a part of the lunatic left wing fringe?

Thank you President Reagan for the fall of communism and bringing an end to the Cold War and thank you for bringing home the Americans that were kidnapped under Carter's watch. I suppose acting as peace broker to the Middle East rather than bombing jackoffs like Qadafi isn't as helpful in appeasing terrorists as some think. Your death blows to communism allowed us to cut the percent of our total budget going to Defense from 27% down to 16%. All the free people of Eastern Europe thank you for your administration's hard work. This was by far the largest reason we were able to balance the overall budget. The savings even allowed the Health and Human service budget to expand from 13% to 23% of total outlays. Since that department was expanded under your leadership, I know it was of value to you. You even did it without blaming all of your budgetary problems on the recession or on the previous administration. I'm sorry the liberal support for drugs and desire for lax enforcement against user growth made cocaine such a problem under your tenure. Thanks again for greatly reducing the need to live in fear of a nuclear war or having to die battling heavy handed communist oppressers.

Thank you President Reagan for making the people of this great country feel good about themselves again after the horrible malaise of the Carter era. Thank you for giving Americans hope and delivering change for the better, and not just using those words as an empty campaign slogan.

Thank you for the great improvment in the economy and for the unbridled prosperity that defined the 1980s.

Thank you for all you did to bring about the end of the Soviet empire. I am sure the hundreds of millions of folks that were living under Communist oppression are grateful to you as well.

Thank you for making our country the number one superpower in the world despite the current occupant of the White House doing everything he can to undo that status.

    1) When do I defend Obama [[except when you guys say stupid things like socialist and muslim)?

    2) Numbers don't lie. You can post as many pictures as that blood-soaked old bastard as you like, the fact is the 80's were severely depressed.

    3) the Soviet empire fell because of Afghanistan. Something the current administration would be advised to learn.
