Default Civil War era Detroit Question

I'm trying to pinpoint the site of Detroit's Civil War-era Camp Lyon, which were training grounds for Union recruits. All the primary sources say it was on the site of a racetrack in Hamtramck. Supposedly there was once a horse track that would have been just east of the East Jefferson and Van Dyke intersection, on the north side of Jefferson. Thanks.
