Mother arrested

With the way things have been going lately I can see this affecting us [[at an even higher level than currently) soon.

Whats your take? What's the crime? Falsifying her address? Prosecuting the case? The disparity of public education?

Where is the kids' dad? If he kicked in, maybe mom and the kids would be living in a better neighborhood or able to afford private schools. Mom is probably guilty of fraud or some such thing but why isn't the dad being tracked down for support? Maybe he could serve her sentence in lieu of support.
