    Default Packard Plant Question #3

I guess this is a question, for all the Packard Plant explorers. I was watching a Youtube video, which showed a group of people walking south over the East Grande Blvd. bridge. They went into the opening for the second building, which is where the old motorhome and sailboats are. This got me to thinking.... From what direction was that motorhome driven? I know that the parking garage, on the north end , has a ramp. But it seems like the bridge over E.G.B. is too narrow, and not tall enough for a motorhome. Was / Is there a drive up ramp on the south end of the plant? Thanx.

There is only one ramp and that is at the north end. If the motor home could fit in an elevator, then that's a possibility. There was at least one working elevator in the south end, that I know of, that was used by Whiting Public Warehouse and later Astro Warehouse. Maybe Bldg. 92 [[the 5 story one on the other side of Bellevue that is collapsing) had a working elevator. Now that I think of it, I may know someone who knows the answer. I'll check with him and report back.

I believe there was an elevator big enough in the South end. I also dont think it would have been too big to get through the skywalk either though. I had thunk this out also, some yrs back.
