How do I go about enabling HTML for my account?

Most boards like this don't enable HTML due to the security problems. What are you trying to do that can't be done with BBCode?

The account I'm currently using. I was under the impression I just had to click something.

I'd like to put a link under a word. The HTML would be

<a href=www.websitehere.com>click this word or phrase</a>

Is there a way to do that without HTML?

Yup.

Use the BBCode URL tags

 [ URL=HTTP://WWW.WEB-ADDRESS-HERE.COM]LINK NAME HERE[ /URL]

Delete the spaces after the leading brackets or use the Create Link icon in the full post editor [[ ) and you get :

LINK NAME HERE

That's pretty helpful. I have been a member of another forum for 4 years and they just switched from SMF to vBulletin like this forum. It was a nightmare for a couple of weeks.
I wish we could give karma/rep points to other members here.
