Beth David Cemetary -- Van Dyke and St. Cyril

Hi all,

In the old forum I came across a few threads in which a member thought that the Beth David Cemetery on Van Dyke and St. Cyril may have been open on Mother's Day. The threads were from 2006.

I am wondering if anyone has more information on this. Is the cemetery open every year on Mother's day? Or perhaps there are other days throughout the year when it is open? I would be interested in visiting it, but I would rather do it the legal way and not sneak in.

I occasionally see the St Cyril gate open on my way to Ba-lyle.

I dont even think there is a lock on it.

About 15 years back, there was still a caretaker living on site. The house [[caretakers) was torn down, and now the cemetery is locked every time I drive passed it.

Thanks for the responses, guys. Yeah, I guess I will just have to drive by periodically and hope that it is open. Either that or just go in there myself.

You will find some pictures I took here on a mother's day opening a few years back.

There are many pictures on the the tombstone that are very touching and haunting.
