Default UCCA and New Center Council merging?

I heard this week from someone working at the New Center Council that they would be merging with the UCCA in the spring and forming a new umbrella organization that they would both fall under.

There could be other orgs joining with them. UCCA just opened up 6 full time positions, it must be related to this.

    Anyone know anything about this?

Yes, now everything from Cuisine down to Honest John's will be called Midtown, with the exception of, you know, wherever there's a crime. Those crimes will naturally take place in Cass Corridor. But anywhere where there is new development will be called Midtown.

LOL. But really, this speaks to a whole new broader agenda. 6 full time jobs is a lot of labor. Maybe Sue will move into the Midtown she loves so much.

UCCA and New Center Council will be merging. I don't know that the 6 jobs have much to do with that since the jobs are related to a recent $20 million grant the UCCA got and this grant was given irregardless of a UCCA/NCC merger.

I heard the Wayne State Police are getting new patches that say "Midtown Police". Sue Mosey will be their new Chief.

I know you were just kidding, but actually, the same person who informed me of this said it was going to be coupled with an effort by Wayne State's police to start patrolling areas further from Wayne State's campus.
