Default IRS Program to teach college students about investigations

I thought some of you might be interested. This is an article posted in an accounting paper meant for CPA's about an innovative program called the Adrian Project. The idea is to expose college students to fictitious cases and have them try to solve the cases using the tools an investigator might use. Really a neat training idea.

Tks for finding the article. I have an article written by an accounting professor that goes into it deeply however it is too large to post in this forum. The article is in Issues in Accounting Education Vol 25 No. 4 2010 PP 695- 708 titled Providing an Applied Learning Exercise in Teaching Fraud Detection: A Case of Academic Partnering with IRS Criminal Investigation.

    Scared Straight, the economic version.

Apparently they think they need to indoctrinate earlier and more often...
