Default This is how exciting soccer can be.

Pity you don't see action like this very much, but this is very high class. A double header, a volley and a diving header to score. All in one attack!

And this happened in the premier league this weekend. Awesome stuff!!

Soccer can be great but it is the stupid diving that ruins it for me. Especially when it is so blatant. Like that Serb idiot on one of the Italian teams in late Oct; the guy never touched him and he acted like he was hit in the face with a 2X4.

These people are a disgrace to the sport and should be suspended for 5 games minimum.

Thanks for those highlights, they were both spectacular plays.

It's the other 89 minutes and 30 seconds that make it boring....

GUATEMALA CITY - Police in Guatemala have found the body of a professional soccer player dismembered and left in five plastic bags in a rural area.

National Civil Police spokesman Donald Gonzalez says the remains were found Sunday with a message saying the player was killed for "messing with other women."

The spokesman says investigators are trying to determine whether that was the real reason for the slaying of Carlos Mercedes Vasquez, who played for Malacateco in Guatemala's first-division soccer league.

Gonzalez says the body was found in the rural community of Malcatan a day after the 27-yeard-old Mercedes Vasquez was kidnapped while driving with two friends.

The bicycle kick they show on ESPN sports center keeps winning the play of the day, day after day

that kick is one of the most athletic plays I've ever seen regardless of the sport.
