What a kick of a gift on this amazing Thanksgiving.

Went downtown for the Turkey Trot this morning...WAY too early, well before caffeine even could work in me...watched what we could of the end of the parade from an office at the foot of Woodward & Jefferson...

...then drove through the Heidelberg Project to show a friend, before taking a lap of Belle Isle.

They wanted to get out and take some pictures of Tyree's playground...and we walked around quite a bit. Noticed another in our group...who made it all the way to Mt. Elliot to see the new sun dial brickart [[if you haven't seen this beauty yet, it is amazing)...jumping up and down screaming and laughing that there was a parade coming down the street.

We all watched in awe as the police escorted the floats back to their year-'round home. Apparently Santa had already gone to the afterparty with the Mayor...and the scary clowns thankfully were nowhere to be seen as well.

So, now to get to family dinner...what a perfect beginning to this holiday. Go Lions!
