Default Tear Down Building of Your Choice

If you had only one choice, what building would you tear down and why?

Me? AAA on Bagley, why? to clear the Statler block for a unicorn park.

That arcology on the water that looks like four beer cans and a tall boy?

Probably too ambitious. Rip down that old brutalist Federal building on the west side of downtown.

Ren Cen, definitely. It is an abomination.

Barring that, the IHOP on East Jefferson.

Gnome... the owner offered the city carte blanche at it, in case it were deemed in a "Madison-Lenox" type imminent danger of collapse...

I'm not being very serious with this, but the Yamasaki Building on the CCS campus I always thought was shit. Yeah, you can't see it, because of the stupid wall around it. If you could see it, you'd discover that it's just ugly 50's "modern" glass crap. Yes, the whole thing is windows, but all they can see is the other side of the wall. Brilliant! I really like the other buildings on campus, even the crazy "tinkertoy" building, but this one I always hated.

OK, but ONLY if we get the unicorn park. ... Nah, go ahead and level the whole thing. This one should go if for no other reason to make the Statler site a "prime development opportunity" five years after they brought it down.

Definitely. It was damaged in the Statler demo. The word I'd heard was that the owner was waiting for an insurance settlement or something. That was five years ago.

Pontch [[aka Riverside.). It's embarrassing to have a large abandoned hotel across the street from your convention center. Could have been worse I guess. They could have built the covered walkway to it.

The City-County Building [[or CAY center). Replace it with a maximum security prison for all of the elected officials convicted of crimes.

Alright, great suggestions on what to tear down, but you are not saying what you'd do with the property post-destruction. My unicorn park is completely reasonable, so what is yor plan for ____.
