Was surprised to notice some Detroit locations in this video. Seems kind of random in a Jimmy Webb cover song by a British singer about a guy from California.

Good song, here's the Jimmy version:

I just saw the movie Heartburn and had to look up this inspiring song.

This is ONE guy doing all the instruments. And it's just how he messes around in his free time.

I'm finding it difficult to avoid falling in love with ViHart but I know I will survive without her, and she without me. Drat.

These last few weeks I've been tuning in to the World Cup games which have all seemed to play the German National anthem. I can't get it out of my head unfortunately.

I've always had a soft spot in my heart for the simple melody played before Radio Netherlands shortwave broadcasts. I believe it's played on a carillon.

I like to think they selected the carillon because it takes an instrument that strong and clear to punch through the notorious interference of shortwave. The blend of bells with interference conveys the majestic triumph of surmounting impossible obstacles — very appropriate for The Netherlands.

He's the son of Michael Nesmith, who was one of the Monkees but also a true musician and songwriter.

Recent news headlines made me think of this 80's punk song:
