    Default Political Corruption

    October 7, 2010
Public corruption isn't a Republican or Democratic issue,
    and neither is prosecuting it

"Think about the timing of these ridiculous and false accusations coming a few weeks before an election," said state Sen. Larry Means, one of the 11 people arrested Monday on public corruption charges. "Don't you think it's suspicious that the state Chairman of Republican Party [[sic) announced just weeks ago that he was 'confident there would be indictments' . . ."?

Never mind that only two of the senators charged -- Means and Quinton Ross Jr. -- are, in fact, Democrats. While indicted Sen. Jim Preuitt only officially switched to the Republican Party this year, he had aligned with the GOP years ago in a crucial battle to control the Senate [[as had Means at one point). The other senator facing charges, Harri Anne Smith, is now running for re-election as an independent but had been a Republican senator for more than 10 years.

If anything, the federal indictment reflects an absolute truth about public corruption: It doesn't wear a party label.

HELL YEAH! Weed out the trash.

Compare Obama's investigation of Democrats v. how the Republicans treated Tom DeLay while he was being investigated.
