Wonderful opening night of the National Touring Company of West Side Story at the Fisher Theatre...seemed like a 3/4 full house. The cast is young, talented, and their enthusiasm was evident. The Jerome Robbins choreography still fresh and the dancers outstanding. The restoration of partial lyrics and dialog in Spanish language as intended in the original Broadway production but not allowed by the producers works...my only complaint is over miking of the chorus and orchestra...it's not a rock concert guys! Balance your mix.. Also outstanding dinner at Cuisine made more affordable by the Detroit Restaurant Week promotion. Great evening in New Center.
