The love of music, a true passion with which, seemingly, I was born.
It just gives & gives, and takes absolutely nothing.

The feeling of solving a huge problem in only two hours that no one else had solved after a month of handwringing and then even better, the look on their faces after you'd done just that: .

Vivaldi's Four Seasons [[Winter) is an excellent accompaniment for such a feat.

Money did not buy the results either. The parasitic saboteurs in power chose to not pay what they owed for the benefits they reaped. In the end their thorough embarrassment became sufficient payment.

Money can't buy satisfaction that many times over.

Hmm. I will counter some above.

    FromMiztown:
-the smell, sight and feel of walking outside on a crisp fall morning.
If you have money you can pay the doctors bill and walk again.
-a day when you just wake up feeling beautiful or handsome
    Plastic surgery isn't cheap.
    -puppy licks
    Puppies cost $$
-not having a care in the world
Having less bills orthe ability to afford them allows for a care-free world.

    From Jiminnm
-The Sandia Mountains glowing a pinkish rosy color for 2-3 minutes as the sun sets.
Cost $$ to travel and get there to see them.

    From Patrick
    -A win for the Lions
There isn't enough money for that team to win : )

    From DW33512
    -Good health.
    Healthcare isn't free.

    From Ravine
-The love of music, a true passion with which, seemingly, I was born.
It just gives & gives, and takes absolutely nothing.
Costs money to go to concerts, buy CDs or downloads and costs money to listen to the recordings.

Of course I am playing devil's advocate. In all life can be great with little money but more money can buy more happiness. However it isn't the be-all-end-all of life. : )

That's OK Goat. It doesn't cost me anything. I sit outside many evenings and just enjoy the view.

Of course. However, that is also not free because endless hours of "devil's advocate" require a computer and Internet access.... and then even the library requires tax money and walking to get to it which requires calories which require food which costs money.

    OMG, the horror... the horror...

You had to use money to buy that chair you're sitting in and you had to use money to buy the house with that porch you're putting your chair at to sit on.

    *Good health

You must pay for healthy foods to eat plus exercse equipment to stay fit and you must pay for insurance to have regular physicals.

*The smell of freshly cut grass

You must pay for the fretilizier every year to keep it healthy and you must pay fo rh te gas to put in the lawnmower you paid for to keep it clean.

*The smell of rain [[but the argument for good health could be made).

    I give you that one.

    *Love Of Family & Friends

I'll give you this one too, but you'll be surprised how fast a family member would turn their backs on you when money's involved. Your closest relative or friend is also your worst enemy.

    What money can't buy:

the satisfaction of independently discovering that the actual field of view of a telescope/eyepiece combination can be very easily and accurately derived from the rotational velocity of the Earth and the duration that an equatorial star requires to traverse the field.

It cannot bring back my mother, grandparents, aunts and uncles who have passed on. Memories and pictures are nice, but I miss the real people. It cannot bring back being young again, that carefree mindset not burdened with all the adult things that burden us. It cannot bring good health, money might slow the decline somewhat, but it can not bring back playing all day and sleeping good all night and waking up and doing it all over again.

I'm just now catching up with your idiotic response.
You seem to have an illness. Perhaps infecting, with an injection of sourness, one of the few DY threads which was free of mean-spiritedness or malice has treated some of your symptoms.
In your rush to be foul, it appears that you have mis-read my post.
My love of music, it seems, is innate; it is a fact that it cost me nothing.
Now go poison some pigeons, or something.
