Default 3rd annual Service Street Fair in Eastern Market

I live on a lovely little block made up of artists and musicians called Service Street, located in the Eastern Market. This Saturday, September 25th from noon-midnight is our 3rd annual Service Street Fair. The Fair will offer a chance to explore our creative little enclave's galleries and businesses, shop the vendors and enjoy some food while jamming to live music all day. The event is free and we encourage guests to bring lawn chairs, coolers and something warm to throw on in the evening.

From noon until 4:30 we will have DJs including DJ Kraig Love, DJ JT, and DJ E Spleece. From 5 til midnight we'll have a great mix of live bands including Planet D Nonet, The Electric FireBabies, Shoe, Black Irish, Detroit Life Allstars, and Ras Kente's Take No Prisoners. Mr. John Sinclair will serve as MC for the day.

Please stop by! Lots of yummies for your eyes and ears. Last year we got a little bit rained out, but luckily the weather is supposed to be beautiful on Saturday.

Service Street runs just south of Gratiot between Russell and Riopelle. So stop on by after doing your shopping at the market. Hope you can make it!

PS - any local artists interested in vending, we'd love to have you, just toss me a line at servicestreetfair [at] gmail [dot] com.
