There was a quite a light show with the storms that came through around 4:30 and 5:00 AM, the bright flashes that tend to turn night into daylight.

Most of the Metro Detroit [[Especially along/south of I-696) according to WXYZ picked up 1/2 inch of rain in 30 minutes.

Granted, this wasn't the *severe* round [[which prompted the watch that had already expired by the time our share of storms came through) that slammed the thumb & tri-cities earlier last night.

313WX, you'd be bored silly out here in southern Nevada. The weather is always the same....sunny and hot. We get maybe three or four thunderstorms all year, and they are nowhere near the intensity of those in Michigan. Matter of fact, we just finished a 150-day stretch of no rain [[the streak was broken with 2/10ths of an inch in the valley). I really miss a good, old-fashioned thunderstorm.

On the other hand, I don't miss that damn snow one bit.

The bed bugs were roused by SOMEthing early this morning, but I's so damn tired, slept right thru anything might have happened.

I was breathless waiting for Olga Breeze to come on and warn me about the storms, but I never saw her during Detroit 1-8-7.
