Former City Council Staffer Dale Foster Running for Council

From 6-10 p.m., Dale Foster will unveil his candidacy during a fundraiser for his council bid at 42 Degrees North, inside the Renaissance Center.
Foster hopes his 10 years of city government experience will help him land a City Council seat. He has worked in various capacities for council memebrs Alberta Tinsley-Talabi and Monica Conyers.
His press release says, "in this catastrophic climate the future Detroit council members must act swift and bold on the city’s problems meanwhile putting petty political fighting down and focus on what will be left after it is all said and done."
More than 400 people have pulled petitions for the Aug. 4 primary.
