Detroit Ombudsman Suing for Equal Pay?

Hmmmm...any DYES! attornies or
HR professionals have anything to say about this? How DOES a female employee who is SUPPOSED to be paid the same salary as a counterpart end up being paid $15,000 less? But on the flip side, is this the time to sue a cash strapped City that has just forced you to cut your department's staff by 40%?

She's actually making more than the current A.G., so were is the problem? Why didn't she raise the issue when the old Joe was making more? The timing is a bit suspect here.

The article states that she's requested a raise from the City Council numerous times since June 2006.
