Default Remember? Grez Hungarian Village on Lawndale

Does anyone remember Grez Hungarian Village on Lawndale? Lived across the street from it when I was a kid back in the 50's, saw Soapy Williams and his Rolls there one night.

Yes, well no, actually but my Great grandparents and grandparents owned it. My mother's maiden name is Grez. I've spent my life looking at items from the bar and listening to stories from my family about how cool and hip Grez's was. I will tell my father of this site and get him to register; he could tell you anything you'd like to know about the restaurant!! It's so nice to see that someone has inquired about Grez's

I find it hard to belief that Rolls belonged to Soapy.

lndeed, Soapy Williams was that sort of a person, a very liberal Democrat, who ..... science was, but he drove a large Rolls Royce. He was a collector of them also.
