It's one of Dan Gilbert's companies.

I'm not feeling that "WEBward" moniker. Guess I'd better get used to it.

I kind of like the "WEBword" term. Branding seems to be so important these days, and if there could be enough techie/internet firms in the area to justify WEBword, it would be great.

Meh. I think Webward is just cheesy. But fine, whatever, call it Webward.
Gray area is generous. I don't think I'd go near those guys with a 10-foot pole. They operate a legalized scam. Good luck to all the middle-aged suckers whose parents lived it up off of the perceived equity in their homes only to now have inherited homes that are unnecessarily under water when they could have been owned free & clear. Way to not rent the house out, grampa, way to fall for some 1970's actor pitching you on " government-insured" bunk. He's not a reverse-mortgagor, but he plays one on TV. The whole thing just reeks like subprime's better-looking [[better-smelling?) cousin.
But whatever, if you're willing to pay rent, come on down, I s'pose, and make yourselves at home amongst the casinos while we wait for better times.

Yes, if we can't have Commerica, we can always have Quicken Loans or One Reverse Mortgage. Maybe, if we really were far seeing, we could become the headquarters for a national chain of payday loan centers.
