Why not just stop watching them?

The main reason is because they continue to misinform millions of potential voters which could also lead to a nagative outcome at the polls for everyone [[I.E. NBPP "story"), even for those who don't watch Fox News [[After all, only a few apples can spoil the entire bunch).

In addition, Faux News is starting to become the Wal-Mart of news now. Now other legit organizations are getting to the point where they must report their manufactured stories or they feel it will eventually hurt them for not catering to the fringe audience [[I.E. Sherrod "story" and ACORN).

BTW, Glenn Beck has lost nearly half of his viewers since this time last year.

No advertisers or [[releatively speaking) no viewers [[NewsCorp must socialize his show), so it ain't looking too good for him. But I'm sure Billo The Lying Clown and Sean Calamity are breathing a sigh of relief.

Are there people out there who still believe Fox propaganda, and if so, why?

The biggest reason is because most of them are unedcuated, or rather "UNDER" educated.

The thing with the ignorant is you can tap into their fears much easier. Besides, they'll never take the chance to research things for themselves because they simply have "no idea."

    Dunning–Kruger effect

Also, I think deliberate lying is tolerated by some if they believe it's done for a "righteous" cause. This, of course, is an irrational mistake obvious to most.

It's far from a fringe audience 313. Fox News pulls about the same number of viewers as MSNBC, CNBC, CNN and HLN combined.

Britney Spears pulls a pretty large audience too, although, she has little substance to offer to the populace, yet her numbers are as much as FauxNews.

Blame all the big networks. Because news became entertainment instead of information, you are going to get mistruths and lies. It's all about the shock and awe. It's this way on all the networks. There is no such thing as a true professional anchorman anymore. They are intentionally sensationalizing stories, reporting on the bits and pieces of events that grab ratings, and twisting reality into what producers feel is a ratings grabber, rather than telling the true stories.

So, this is our modern American media, who's entire point of existence is to keep the people scared and confused. Our media makes it much easier for our Government to control us, because of this constant state of fear and confusion.

I never have watched FAUX News other than a few minutes once. I thought it was some kind of Three Stooges sketch or Saturday Night Live reject.

    Not really...

Technically, Fox News is the only network where everyone agrees it leans to the right [[how much is in disagreement).

Combine the number of viewers on MSNBC and CNN, NBC, CBS, PBS and ABC and they all blow Fox News out of the water...

The difference is those that simply want their right wing viewpoint re-inforced only have one source to turn to [[FNC) where as people who want straight news [[or simply want news without a right wing spin) have numerous outlets to turn to, so of course Fox News would *APPEAR* they're beating everyone in the ratings because there's no other media outlet for them to complete with...
