Default Wanna hear some hot music?

There's life after the Golden Earring [[who are still playing as the original foursome since the early 60's) or Shocking Blue. Where Dutch DJs like Tiest or Armin van Buren dominate the scene, other music from the Netherlands is also bubbling up.

Here's what's boiling in the Netherlands. These are some artists who are emerging on the scene. Some are Perez Hilton approved, no less!

Shane Shu - Push me to the ground.

Born out of Dutch parents, but he grew up in British Columbia. Just this morning I was surprised by an acoustic live version. It gave me goosebumps!

    Caro Emerald
I could have posted her whole online collection. Everything here is great! She blends in a kind of 30's or 40's feel with wheels of steel. [[that's my take on it.) "A night like this" might sound familiar if a certain Martini Bianco commercial was shown on US tv. The Youtube clip has been seen more than a million times.

Current single is "That man" .

    Ilse de Lange
She's already a mainstay on the scene. In a short while her new album, recorded for a large part in Nashville, will be released.

Let me know what you think.

Ps. The Golden Earring song "When the lady smiles" was initially chosen as the themesong for Hillary Clinton's run for president. Eventually the song was not used, which is not surprising looking at the original video of 1983....

I like the Dutch band Asteroid Galaxy Tour, good stuff. Detroit cow punkers Goober and the Peas did a fun version of Radar Love for their encore at St. Andrews on Saturday nite.
