Default Sam Riddle Asks to be Excused

I am curious how many prisoners get short-term pardons in order to attend to a sick parent?!

Do they even allow those serving in jail to attend family member's funerals?

Seems Sam Riddle wants to visit his mother in the hospital
. It doesn't sound good for her.

Family members will pay the cost of travel and staff.

Not sure whether he is in jail for bribery and corruption, or pulling a shotgun on his girlfriend.

The prosecutor doesn't object...everybody likes Sam.

More proof that if you are well-connected there is a different standard of justice than for the average person. It's not what you know, but who you know.

There was an article about the Southfield council member who plead guilty to corruption charges involving Sam Riddle. The article is the council member's take on how the corruption played out and gives one insight into Sam Riddle's sliding scale of morality and rationalization.

As far as visiting his mother is concerned, it should have been a consideration of Sam's that finding himself behind bars and not being able to visit or help his mother in failing health would be a consequence of his actions.

I misread the thread title. I thought it said 'executed'.

Strange request thought I, but sure, why not?

You're 100% correct. Of course he obviously thinks about only himself. You can bet the stress on his Mother knowing her son was going to jail didn't help her health at all.

Unless this priviledge is granted to the average person, Sam should be denied. He's in jail, not a hotel where he can check in and out.

The man didn't kill anyone, he should be allowed to see his dying mother.

They should make him wear the orange uniform, escort him into the hospital, let him see his mother for an hour and then escort him right back to jail and his family should bear all costs.

Although I do agree this is not summer camp where you can get a free pass to go home for a few days, but we shouldn't punish the mother because her son is an idiot.

    Although he is in jail
