"Arsenal of Democracy" bicycle tour tomorrow at Wheelhouse

Hey all, a little shameless self-promotion here, but I'll be giving a bicycle tour tomorrow titled "Arsenal of Democracy"... For industrial history fans or someone just looking to take a nice bike ride through the city & learn something new, this is for you! ... Stop by the Wheelhouse [[1340 E. Atwater at the Riverwalk) tomorrow morning to sign up for the 10:00 AM tour. Bring a bike or rent one for an extra $10!

The ride will be about 15 miles and take around 3 hours to complete. We go at a leisurely pace to make sure everyone has a good time.

Celebrate Independence Day with a tour that remembers Detroits contributions to World War II, which were so vast that the city was dubbed the Arsenal of Democracy. This tour will visit the auto factories that transitioned to the manufacture of weapons, tanks and munitions in the nationwide effort to win the war.

PS - Due to constriction on Atwater Street, the Wheelhouse parking lot is currently not available. If you are coming by for a longer visit, we suggest locating free street parking, or parking in the Beaubien Place Garage or a General Motors surface lot.

Out of towner here...for future reference, are those parking lots within walking distance, IE, 15 minutes or so? Head north, correct?
