To preface, I have no affiliation with Mighty Detroit but wanted to make a plug for the company because I bought one of their shirts last year and have kept in contact with them since. They have some great ideas that put Detroit in a postive light and are really building a brand image for themselves. Since they donate a portion of their proceeds to local charities and are incredibly open to whatever feedback and creative ideas you may have, it's in all of our best interests to get the community to rally around them.

I like them, I could see buying a couple of them.

That's awesome! I dig the Arsenal of Democracy one. They just need to add some XXL shirts for us big fellers.

Even more awesome: Being as smug as I am - note all of the annoying it's-as-simple-as... solutions I keep posting from the comfort of my armchair - I emailed them with a suggestion that they add an XXL size for us more voluminous folks. Here's what I got back:

"Thanks for contacting us. You are in luck. I have one XXL Army left. Its not on the website, but you can place an order for any size. When I see an order for {erm, fryar}, I will make sure to send the Army in an XXL. Does this work?"

Awesome, just awesome. Can't wait. And all of you fellow voluminous D-boosters are SOL for now, friends. :-P

Mighty Detroit also links to an outfit called City Bird that has a little shop in the Cass Corridor. They also have some products that will help turn the image of Detroit around. Detroit now has a place to turn to for it's I-heart-NY - type paraphernalia, something more positive to sell at the airport than "we missed you the first time" t-shirts [[those are funny, but...).

And I have nothing to do with either of these places, either, I just feel like plugging them on this site as they are both booster-ific, and a fair share of Detroit boosters seem to linger round these parts.

I just came across a Detroit clothing line called 2:37 AM [[link), with which I also have no affiliation. I don't know if I'd say they're booster-ific, but for anyone interested, they're not negative, certainly.
