Holcomb Elementary Tour

The beautiful Holcomb Elementary school in northwest Detroit has closed. There is a tour scheduled for July 17 [[Facebook has a page: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?ei...4171951&ref=ts). This is your last chance to see this beautiful, intact old school before the scrappers get to it. What a shame.

Thanks Redfordette--I atteneded Holcomb from Kintergarten thru 4 th grade, 1964-1969. I'll be there. I know Robin from the FB Holcomb group.

I don't think they'll turn anyone away. I'm not sure if I will go - I'm not good at nostalgia and it just makes me sad to see another viable building go to waste.
