Default East side hardware store explodes

An east side hardware store as well as a dollar store are totaled after an explosion early this morning.

Is this Lyons Hardware near Mound? Same dude owns a dollar store [[though it has been closed for a while) and a hardware store over there.

No, on 7 Mile between Conley and Keystone. I'm surprised the liquor store on the corner survived! Wow. BTW: None of that was built before 1930. The only thing that was around at that time was the old Szalanski house across the street on the corner. Notice how far back it's set from everything else on the street.

It is a very interesting story, and there is a common thread with the ownership.
