Thesis statement: E-mail and internet monitoring; is it really an invasion of the employees' rights in the workplace?
    1. Why do over 80% of today's companies monitor their employees?
      1. To prevent fraudulent activities, theft, and other workplace related violations.
      2. To more efficiently monitor employee productivity.
      3. To prevent any legal liabilities due to harassing or offensive communications.
    2. What are the employees privacy rights when it comes to EM/S [[Electronic Monitoring and Surveillance) in the workplace?
      1. American employees have basically no legal protection from mean and snooping bosses.
        1. There are no federal or State laws protecting employees.
        2. Employees may assert privacy protection for their own personal effects.
          1. Lunch box.
          2. Brief case.
      2. Bosses believe that work is to be done so privacy is not necessary.

To prevent the interpretation of BB codes, enclose them between [noparse] and [/noparse]. That's how I was able to show the code to the left of "yields" in the above examples.

The [attach] tag allows you to render an image at a selected position within your post rather than it appearing as an attachment at the bottom. It will only display attachments that belong to the post in which it is utilized.
    [attach]86[/attach] yields Attachment 86

That's all the BB codes I could find. Are there any others?

    Default Steganography

According to MSPaint, the background color here is currently pure white so to do the steganography trick, we'll use [color=#FFFFFF]Bite me, Karl.[/color], yielding Bite me, Karl..

okay, I see the hidden text now, I just assumed that there was a formatting error because i could see the format code.

LOL. I deliberately disclosed the formatting code for educational purposes. The fun begins afterward.

Bump so we don't lose this.

  13. #13

If we ever do lose this I can repost the original file on request.

Since that test, I learned that the Wingding font is also available so we're not limited just to the fonts listed in the "Reply to Thread" editor.

I read somewhere that it's possible to customize BB codes. We may have more in the future. Something like the \ch{} code on the old board might be useful for generating obscure characters. Too bad that [marquee] code didn't work. I guess that would scroll text?

It's interesting that you can make it look like you're quoting a future post. That might come in handy as a precognition prank on a newbie someday.

The "Reply to Thread" editor does some formatting of the raw code while you're revising so I've found it easier to instead compose messages in MSNotepad then copy&paste them to the editor for preview test. Notepad's Word Wrap mode should be turned off before copying though, I think.

In the advanced editor there's a mouse-clickable control for inserting a horizontal line. The BB code for that is "[hr][/hr]."

    [hr][/hr] yields:
    Lorem ipsum

This is useful for separating ideas related enough to be included in the same post but unrelated enough to be conspicuously separated. It's kind of like a mega version of the emdash. I'm guessing the "r" in "hr" stands for "rule."

According to this, a custom strikeout BB code could be added by the administrators.

Thanks for checking that out, Jimaz. [[And also for the other BB info). The only one that I knew of before chancing upon this thread was bold. Now I can use SUPER GIGANTIC WORDS to vanquish my internet nemeses! [[Hope that worked) Thanks again.
