Default J. Geils Band at The Filmore

Was anyone else fortunate enough to attend? Tickets for 2 shows sold out in less than 15 minutes and my concert crazy nephew was determined to see this show, so I got lucky. The show last night was simply fantastic. These guys in their 60's performed with as much energy as they ever have.

Detroit is their absolute favorite city to perform in and that makes me feel proud. Three live albums recorded in Detroit and it wouldn't surprise me one bit if they make another from these Filmore shows.

J Giles Band used to be my favorite! I saw them a total of four times. The last two shows were in Flint, and since it was a very small venue, they performed only a very few songs and walked off stage both shows. I thought they were getting full of themselves. Still love the album "Full House". Their early stuff was great!
