    Default Fireworks

    Why haven't Detroit hosted the fireworks on the riverfront on the 4th of July instead of the end of June? Had the fireworks ever been n a friday?

    Stasu, I believe it has to do with the Parade Company. I heard they decided a couple of years ago to make the fireworks the high point of the River Days festival. There is another thread about the fireworks called "fireworks why so early" or similar to that.

    I miss the Wednesday before 4th of July schedule. Mondays don't work at all for me.
