And fools still talk about Detroit after the 1984 World Series. We've had 4 Stanley Cups, 3 Basketball Championships and no incidents, yet the national media still likes to make jokes about incidents that happened over 25 years ago.

I guess when the riots happen in LA, Denver, Chicago, etc. they get a free pass...

For that I agree. However the city still resembles and even acts as if a riot is still ongoing. Until the use of guns and intimidation is tamed detroit will continue to get pouned in the media.
