Default Unemployed being told - don't apply for jobs

Here is a link to an article by CNN Money dated 6-16-2010 titled Out-Of-Work Job Applicants Told Unemployed Need Not Apply. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Outofw...52371.html?x=0 The employers and recruiters have too many people applying so they only want to deal with people currently employed and they have a perception that people are unemployed because of "performance" issues. What say you to this article and these perceptions?

what can one say...these are people that [[some) people want running our country? Limited government folks don't realize that they are one step away from always needing the government...we needed civil rights because we didnt do what was civil in the first place...

workers right rollbacks [[which this is) is why we needed unions and protests..becuase if left up to business alone we get this.

So just what do they expect these people to do instead? Turn to a life of crime? Do they really want that badly to be surrounded by more criminals?

Most jobs an unemployed person might be eligible for at this point in time would pay about $8 - $10.00 per hour. The work and hours are likely to be part-time, on-call, show up and maybe we'll let you work, and we'll send you home whenever we like, no matter how far you walked, biked, bussed, drove and no matter that you paid for parking, or bussing. I've had some of those in the last few years. All those jobs accomplished was to complicate my UIA compensation, the few times it was available and employers would cooperate in giving me information enough ahead of time to give to the UIA. Mostly, it was a losing proposition, between employers trucculence and UIA's bureaucracy. I feel nothing but sympathy for most people who are put in those positions, mostly due to the trainwreck caused by the US [[and world) business [[Royalty) establishment.

You took the words straight from my fingertips and used them with far more eloquence than I could have.

I'll call you entertaining as hell, even if I fail to embrace your point of view!

    Back on topic.

This doesn't surprise me, as cons want to see the unemployment rate rise, that way they have a better chance this fall at the polls.

Personally, I think any company or person who would tell the unemployed not to apply should be tried for treason, as they clearly hate America's work ethic.

Unemployment discrimination sounds like age discrimination, except that age discrimination is illegal [[but try to prove it).

Why would any prospective employer make the statement, "Unemployed need not apply," when all it can do is backfire and create bad press?

Could it be arrogance of the "I'm an employer and I can do what I want, when I want, and to whom I want . . . I've got the upper hand and you don't" attitude?

Not having people apply for jobs in the U.S. is like Stalin having the Kulaks and Ukranians starve in their own lands.

You can all see the socialist change in the U.S. workforce thanks to Premier Obama YAY!

The United States is not THE SOVIET UNION or COMMUNIST CHINA is a free nation, with free capitalism, free enterprise, free ecomony, free right to work, free speech, free assembly, free militia, free press, free petitions, free liberty and justice for all.
