    Default Demolition Records in Detroit

Does anyone know, if the city keeps demo records that one could check to see when a particular dwelling came down?

At one time I could've checked utility records from MichCon for a disconnect date. Of course that could've taken place a long time before actual demolition. No longer have that option.

    Thanks for any thoughts.

Try the Burton Historical Collection at Detroit's Main Public Library. I think the disposal plan for demo paperwork goes there, but the most recent material may be 5 or more years old. Hope this helps.

Thanks folks...I will check into those. I wouldn't have thought the Burton Room was picking up the old demo permits.

Retroit....the City of Detroit website is down for maintenance....I did get a chuckle out of that. I would've expected nothing but. lol

I wonder if the city still keeps blue prints on file?

Its just sad the number of buildings demolished over the years.
