I'll go with jcole to England. Would love to visit the town of my roots, Bradninch, Devon, England. gggggggrandpa left there for Pennsylvania in 1717. His line is documented back to 1530.

Walt Disney World. The Polynesian Resort. I don't think there's anywhere on earth I'd rather go on vacation.

I've been multiple times, in better economic times. As it is, not something I'm likely to be able to afford again in the foreseeable future. But I sure do have my memories - and my websites!

I would go with JCole and Ray1936 to England. I would love to visit every site connected to Tudor England and sites connected to Jane Austen. My mother was from Newcastle-upon-Tyne, so I have visited there, but I would also like to visit the Lake District where some other family lived. I would also like to visit Scotland, since my father was from there.

I want to sail on a reasonably-sized schooner from Los Angeles, maybe Long Beach harbor...to Hawaii. [[not a cruise ship)

Then spend at least three months there hopping islands...and enjoying the local produce.

Sussex, you are a woman after my own heart. I would want to visit everything Tudor, Elizabethan and Stuart.
C'mon, Ray, jump on board and let's all go.

"...if money wasn't an issue." Trying to get a handle on that concept...

Based on a delightful stay in Taipei and Eastern Taiwan last year, I would like to travel to rural China, rural Japan, and Kyoto. Other possibilities include walking across Ireland beginning at about Arklow and a beer tasting tour of Belgium. Since money wouldn't be an issue, the latter possibility might require a chauffered Peugeot.

I'd be in for that. Someday...

LOL, so apparently the 'pets who want to kill themselves' is NOT specifically an American phenomenon.

Stosh makes four for England. We'll rent a car. Someone else better drive it, because that steering wheel on the jump side scares the dickens out of me.

Ireland for me. I've stopped at Shannon, but sadly, not long enough to do anything.

Maybe AFTER that Hawaii sailing trip...I wouldn't mind sailing to Ireland, but that would be the LAST trip I'd take.

I'd probably stay there...although the local produce wouldn't be as interesting, or medicinal.

Interesting that you should say that, we just got back from a few days in Durango and Pagosa Springs [[with a drive thru Chama). We hadn't been to Durango in many years, and it has changed substantially but it is a town that is definitely alive. Pagosa is a nice little town teeming with hot springs. If you're in the area, also check out Chimney Rock [[ http://www.chimneyrockco.org/mainnew.htm ).

Always wanted to bike through Scotland. Those days are long gone so here is the trip I have wanted to go on for a long time. Only problem...have not yet won the Michigan Lotto. After the rail trip, then to go with a private driver for about 3 months for a more detailed trip. http://www.royalscotsman.com/web/rs/...l_scotsman.jsp

I've always wanted to to go Montana and Italy.

Next week I'm going to Orlando so Mickey can bleed my wallet dry.

I would like to go to Japan. Tokyo, and then a smaller town/city to see the other side of it. A Pub Tour of Europe would also be fun.
