Default TIME piece about Warren Evans

When Warren Evans took over as Detroit's police chief last summer, he came on strong and got results. Evans deployed a Special Response Team [[SRT), using military-style tactics and weapons to handle ordinary police actions like traffic stops.
What? Isn't SRT just the tactical unit?

I think that Time writer is mistaken. I don't believe SRT is doing traffic stops. I know the Gang Squad is involved in what they are calling the Mobile Strike Force, which does traffic stops [[among other things) but I would be surprised if SRT is doing traffic enforcement.

Or maybe the author is saying that some SRT members have been tasked to this Strike Force.
