When my census form came it wasn't addressed to me by name. It was addressed to "resident". And I own my own single family home.

This might explain why people living in hotels do not receive a form. I doubt the government would send a form for each hotel room especially since they would have no way of knowing which rooms are occupied.

Afterall, the Leland is not an apartment building, it is s hotel.

Wayne County and/or Detroit should have captured the addresses [[or at least an estimate of the number of units) in the address update portion of the census process.

And seeing as these buildings existed in the last census, they should be on the books.

But the Leland is a hotel. People lliving in hotels generally have a permanent address somewhere else. Perhaps not in the case of DetroitDad and a few others who are doing an extended stay at the Leland, but it is a safe assumption that most folks in hotels do not live there permamently.

Well, that explains it. If you don't have a discrete address, why and how would you expect the Census to mail something to you?
