Default Residents wary of Detroit salt mines neighborhood plan

The neighborhood associations should sit down with the City, County and Salt Mine Company and come up with a plan that should go into the contract language. Outright rejection is probably the worst option possible.

This is what happens when a firm has been a bad neighbor for 100 years; the residents look sideways at any and all plans. If they really wanted to beautify the area, they might want to start with their own property first.

Ever been down there? Ever wonder what the entrance to Dante's Inferno might look like?

This sounds like a good deal for the neighborhood. Can't there be deed restrictions?
