    no biggie - there already are some cameras in Detroit

    now if the police actually *use* the cameras and act upon what they see, that's another question...

    There have been several traffic cameras installed at Cass and Warren near Wayne State in the last couple of weeks...

    More surveillance cameras on the streets? Only if they install them in corporate boardrooms and when politicians meet. Fair's fair.

    And besides, the cameras will just be shot out like they have been all along. That's the REAL reason we don't have more cameras now!

    There needs to be swift and steep penalties for shooting out cameras. Hey, you can SEE who they are. Manual labor sounds good.Also, there are now cameras that look like other pieces of traffic hardware...you'd never know you were being watched. No wonder survelliance companies are cleaning up!

    Now drug deals in Chicago are done on residential streets where families live instead of on the main roads.
