Well the day has arrived that I want to purchase a dog. Not just any dog, but a brown dog, as in "the quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog". A brown dog will be the perfect companion to nighttime jaunts out and about.

Any suggestions where to purchase/appropriate one?

You subconsciously equate the color 'brown' with the attribute of 'lazy.' How do you know the color of the dog in that sentence?

Brown dogs suck. Grey dogs are better. Whatever color you get, don't get one that sheds.

I want a dog that can live outside and survive off tablescraps/trash picking when necessary. That is why a brown dog would work best, they are the hardiest and the toughest. They tend not to shed and damn it they put up with a lot of crap.

They put OUT a lot of crap too, from my experience.

Now a gray dog, not so much. Will a brown and white dog do? Or will this have to just be a monotone dog? Maybe one in sepia?

There something wrong with yellow snow, same with the dog. Besides, it shows dirt more than the basic brown.
