There is a television movie "The Color of Courge" being aired on channel 158 gmc on Comcast Cable concerning the McGhee House at 4626 Seebaldt, one block N of Tireman and E of Beechwood. A black family, Orsel & Minnie McGhee, bought the home in 1944 when covenants prohibiting black ownership were in place. After court battles the family was allowed to stay in the home. Attorney Thurgood Marshall was one of the attorneys for the McGhee's.

The home was added to the Historical Register December 14, 1976
Historical Marker was erected June 16, 1983
The home and historical marker still stand today across from Biddle School.
