Good or bad idea for Detroit?:

North Tyneside [U.K.] high street 'revived' by fake shop front
Fake businesses are to be used to lessen the impact of the recession on high streets in North Tyneside.
Can deception have a positive influence?

I wish more of the art put in for the Super Bowl had been maintained.

I'm of the opinion that all of the empty storefronts on Woodward should be used as artist installation exhibits as they were for the Final Four and the Super Bowl. They cost the building owners nothing, allow local artists to get a high level of exposure for their work, and make the street seem full and vibrant.

It seems like a no brainer.
