Default This Woman Is a Pathological Lier

First, she lies about reading newspapers and magazines, but can't name them, then she denied wanting to ban books at the Wasilla Library but the librarian quickly set the record straight. Then she ran around lying about supposed death panels for health care and rationing.

Now, she admits she used to jump across the boarder for Canada's single payer health care:

This woman is really something. I wonder when Fox will give her that reality show about her and her family that she craves?

How convenient that the Huffington Post neglects to mention that the small Alaskan town Palin's family lived in had no doctor, and was 100's of miles from the nearest U.S medical facility [[ If the article was not attributed to someone else I would have sworn it had been written by Michael Moore. Ignoring the story changing details is just his style.) Considering that they nearly bordered the city of Whitehorse in Canada, it seems rather apparent why they chose to cross the border.

Add the fact that Palin was less than six years old at the time and this is just another overblown, baseless attack on the Left's favorite target. Honestly, I'm still astonished on a daily basis by the amount of time the left leaning media spends criticizing Palin .

I am not. Please check the link I posted above to see the details that the Huffington Post decided to ignore.

perhaps she can get away with having gone to the terrible socialist doctor as a child, but if government health care is so bad, why would she allow her grandson [[oh hey, how's that abstinence-y thing working for ya?) to be subjected to government health care, especially given the fact that she just made a bit of cash speaking to/hawking her book to the teabagger cult?

of course, if you would even BOTHER to look at a map, Whitehorse is about the same distance from Skagway as Juneau, Alaska's capital. No decent roads either way, but a trip down the fjord to Juneau is an easier jaunt

Of course, if you would even BOTHER to read the article by ABC, you will see that this was in the 60s...so looking at a map of today doesn't really apply here.

Here's the link again: http://abcnews.go.com/US/wirestory?id=10046911&page=1 [[There's two pages)

I guess they must have done picked up the town of Skagway and moved it in the past 40 years you betcha.

The real point is not whether or not Sarah Palin has been a beneficiary of Canada's system of socialized medicine--she has. The point is the inconsistency in her baseless attacks on the health care reform legislation winding its way through Congress--inconsistent and untruthful remarks, mind you, that have made her a lot of money.

But, I guess selling out your family and yourself isn't out of the question if there's ca$h to be made, huh?

Every time Palin speaks about the proposed health care bill, such as her comments about "death panels" and the like, her careless comments are a partisan lightening rod to summarily dismiss ALL concern, legitimate or extreme about federalized health care. Yet, withstanding Palin and all her stuff there are many that retain strong reservations about a US take over of the medical industry. Palin does not OWN that reservation...

I'm sure couching one's arguments in terms like "evil" is based on a wholly objective analysis, right?

There's nothing partisan about calling Palin a dirty fucking liar. Sarah Palin says "death panels" in an attempt to scare the shit out of people. There were never any "death panels" in any of the bills.

You can't just start lying to people, and then when people present the facts, claim you are under partisan attack. Sarah Palin's real enemy isn't the Democratic Party--her enemy is Reality.

My point was to point out a fellow poster who didn't read the article, but decided to make a baseless attack against another poster. Like looking at MapQuest right now is going to determine what the modes of transportation were 40 years ago. Everything was nicely explained in the article. Huffington Post just decided to completely leave that out.

With that being said, yea, I think Sarah Palin says some dumb and baseless things. So do other Republicans, and so do Democrats. But why does anyone care what Sarah Palin says about health care? The choice isn't up to her, and if people in government are listening to her, then they need some help of their own.

So, yea, I think there should be health care for everyone in the US. But I would much rather it be a long thought out process instead of just trying to get something passed for the sake of passing it. I don't want anything rushed through which ultimately ends up being a bad choice for Americans. We need Republicans and Democrats to work together and compromise a plan so it will be in all of our best interests.

Whether that will ever happen, however, remains to be seen...

I'd be willing to place a small wager that you don't take in excess of a year to make life-changing decisions for yourself. Frankly, I don't know how anyone can think that over a year of debate is "rushing it". Do you know how many people have lost the ability to see a doctor since the health care legislation was introduced? It makes one question your grounding in reality if you think this process has been rushed.

Yeah, that would have been terrific. It's a shame that the GOP isn't even willing to vote for legislation that incorporates their own ideas. I don't think you quite grasp that the Republicans are in no way interested in "compromise". They have demonstrated they will settle for nothing other than this bill going down in flames.

The problem is that all the sheep who crowd her rallies and buy her book believe what she says as truth. Then they pack town hall meetings and scream the lies that come from Sara's lips, all in an effort to keep the current failure of a system in place.

We definitely don't take you seriously.

But I agree, I simply do not understand where the fascination for Palin comes from. She just feeds the us vs. them, repub vs. democrat mentality that keeps everyone busy bickering about nonsense.

But but but the U.S. has the Greatest Health Care System in the World [[TM)!

Considering that they nearly bordered the city of Whitehorse in Canada, it seems rather apparent why they chose to cross the border.
Probably for the same reasons a lot of Americans go to Windsor for their prescription drugs.

Honestly, I'm still astonished on a daily basis by the amount of time the left leaning media spends criticizing Palin .
Ah, there's that "the liberal media hates Sarah" talking point. I knew it wouldn't be long.
Palin is a walking stereotype of the intellectually lazy politician who blames "the liberal media" for all their problems instead of answering for whatever dumb things they've said. You know damn well it's not "the media" making Palin look bad, it's Palin making Palin look bad. For you to assume that everyone's as ignorant and gullible as her Fox News audience is insulting to thinking people.
