    Default Safest place in Detroit?

According to www.neighborhoodscout.com it's Belle Isle and the Riverfront neighborhoods:

So the safest place in Detroit is the corner of "The Strand and Casino Way." What came in second, Spinoza and Rouge Park Drive?

Reading the comments, it looks like people familiar with the other cities on the list had exactly the same complaint. Maybe a list of the safest populated neighborhoods is in order?

Yes, many of these include large swaths of parkland. It wouldn't have taken a lot of work to filter those out. What *is* the safest non-park neighborhood in Detroit?

Downtown followed by North Cass / Wayne State Campus are defiantly the safest places in Detroit

It helps when you have your own private real Police force.

I also can't figure out how Mt. Elliot/Vernor got on there...I never really considered that area very "affluent"...and Cass and Selden?? Boy, Honest John's is going to be excited to hear they live in such a tony neighborhood. Must be that lovely park on the corner there.
Maybe the hookers have raised their rates and are rolling in dough now.

It's probably also pretty safe at the Wayne County Jail.
