Historic Kahn warehouse to be turned into healthcare center

An Albert Kahn warehouse at 5716 Michigan Ave. is going to be turned into an $11 million integrated health care center that will provide primary medical, pediatric, obstetric, dental, psychiatric and behavioral counseling services. Construction will begin in March and conclude at the end of the year.

This is a great building, one of many similar kinds in the city. It could be another great model for redevelopment of these spaces into offices & medical centers. I liked what they did at UPSM High School down by the riverfront with the old Kahn warehouse.
